Campus Comrade is a social app that allows university students to share their on-campus status with friends. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your full name
• Your chosen username
• Your email address
• Your campus status, building, and activity — only when you choose to share it
• Your device push notification token (if you grant permission)

Information We Do NOT Collect

Campus Comrade never collects or accesses your device's location. All status updates are entered manually by you.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To display your status to your approved friends
• To send push notifications when friends go on campus (if you grant permission)
• To allow other users to find you by username

Who Can See Your Information

Your name, username, and campus status are visible only to users you have mutually accepted as friends. Your email address is never visible to other users.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy
• Expo — used to deliver push notifications. See their privacy policy at expo.dev/privacy

Data Retention

Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email address below, and all your data will be permanently removed.

Children's Privacy

Campus Comrade is intended for university students aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
